My Ed.Tech Philosophy
An instructor is responsible for facilitating student learning by creating experiences for exploration an acquirement of new knowledge and skills. In order to effectively create meaningful experiences for students, instructors rely on various technology. Research has found that student held more favorable views and perceived more value in classes that used relevant and meaningful technology. Humans continue to make discoveries in science and technology. Instructional designers must also continue to create advancements that parallel technologies current abilities. Additionally, instructional designers must also incorporate the variety of backgrounds of the student audience. Effective instruction also requires the acknowledgement of individual difference such as learning or physical disabilities, socioeconomic, cultural, religious and geographical differences.I work to celebrate individual differences by presenting opportunities within the curriculum and materials I design for representation and variety of choice (audio, graphic, written).
My educational technology philosophy acknowledges the necessity to remain current of technological advancements and techniques to integrate meaningfully into curriculum and instructional materials. My mission is ensuring proper representation of the learner audience through well-designed curriculum and instructional materials designed to match a variety of learning styles.Â
